We have created a training path for future and in-service primary and lower secondary school teachers, as well as academics and educators charged with teachers education, to address science teaching and learning through a new educational approach. The training course consists of four modules: module 0, addressed to academics and educators, is theoretical and introductory to the project approach, while modules 1,2 and 3 offer didactic materials useful for lectures and workshop with the and for pre-service and in-service teachers. The aims of the modules are:
- To offer professional learning opportunities to upskill teachers with an innovative didactic approach based on “tools of imagination”, to facilitate the transfer of energy-related scientific knowledge.
- To offer competence and knowledge on how to use storytelling and story writing, process diagrams, Forces of Nature theatre and Lego®Serious Play® as tools to represent natural and technical systems and above all the Forces of Nature and the properties of energy.
- To introduce higher education academics to an imaginative, metaphorical, and narrative approach in teaching energy and the Forces of Nature within various scientific fields.
